Office Policies

We make every effort to see our patients on time, but we need your help in doing so! We ask that all patients (even established) patients arrive 15 minutes early. This will allow the staff to update your address/ insurance information and check the patient’s vital signs. Arriving early to your appointment will allow you to spend more time face to face with your provider.

  • When one patient arrives late it can affect the schedule for the rest of the day. Therefore, patients arriving 15 minutes or more after their appointment time will need to reschedule. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

All patient appointments are very valuable and very much in high demand. In an effort to serve you better, we ask for proper notice for any cancellation.

  • Patients failing to provide at least 24-hour notice will be charged $50.00 for any missed appointments (no show)  in the Denver (Rose) office. For missed appointments in Ft. Morgan, Avista(Coal Creek), Colorado Springs,  Castle Rock and Lone Tree the charge will be $60.00.
  • Patients who give same day cancellation notice will be charged $25.00 (less than the missed appointment fee).

Here at RMPP we make every effort to make sure our patients have their medications. If your child is in need of refills please call your pharmacy and have them fax us a request or send a request through e-Scripts. If the prescription is expired or has no more refills they still must send us the request. Please be patient as requests may take up to 48 hours to complete. Please do not wait until your child has no more medications.

We bill your insurance as a courtesy to you. Any fees not covered by your plan are your financial responsibility. Please call your insurance company and make sure we are in network with your plan. Coverage of the visits depend on your plan, please know the details of your plan to insure the visits will be covered. Co-pays are due at time of visit. We accept: checks, Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.

Families who are having financial hardships can contact our billing department at 1-888-701-8826 and set up a payment plan.

If a patient has a balance over $100.00, it must be paid by the time of next visit. We understand that some families may experience financial hardships. If payment cannot be made, the responsible party will need to speak with our billing department at 1-888-701-8826 ext 108 to set up a payment plan.

Life-threatening: Call 911. Call your physician as soon as possible thereafter.

Our on-call physicians serve potential emergency cases only. In case of an urgent need that is not life threatening please call our main office and speak to our answering service. We maintain 24-hour “on call” medical care. Please do not page the on call doctor for matters that can wait till the following business day, which may include:

  • prescription refills
  • referrals
  • appointments
  • test results

The on-call doctor may not have access to medical records. Furthermore, they are not permitted to prescribe over the phone unless they serve as your primary doctor. If you feel your condition may require a prescription, please make an appointment the next business day.

Referrals are required by most insurance companies unless you are a member with a PPO plan. If you are not part of a PPO you will have to have a referral before you can be seen. In order to get a referral you will need to contact your primary care doctor and have them submit a request to insurance. If you are seen without a referral you will be responsible for the balance. Please have referral faxed to 303-832-3533.

Please allow 7-10 business days to receive test results. If you have not heard from us after the 10 days please give our office a call.
